They are very agile and can sprint up to 48 km/h. Their grey-brown winter coat isn’t just camouflage against predators. Schleich Velociraptor Schleich model 14585 Product Dimensions: 17.5 x 6 x 10.3 cm Age: 3 years and up Released 2018  Velociraptors were likely very intelligent dinosaurs that hunted in packs. Although they were only 60 cm in height, these carnivores were able to overpower significantly larger prey. These dinosaurs reached speeds of up to 65 kilometres an hour and were capable of quick turns thanks to their stiff tails. To consume their prey, Velociraptors had at their disposal eighty sharp, crooked teeth in their flat snout, some of which 2.5 cm in length. The velociraptor is considered to have been one of the most intelligent and fastest dinosaurs. Schleich Agustinia Schleich model 15021 Product Dimensions: 33 x 5.5 x 10 cm Age: 3 years and up Released 2020; Retired 2024 This product will see production stopping at the end of 2024.  The Agustinia had upright spines along its back, just like the agustinia from Schleich® Dinosaurs.  The long, narrow spines of the Agustinia make it look so unique that it is impossible to mix up with any other dinosaur. It was also covered with unusual-looking ossified skin plates. As a harmless herbivore it probably needed the spines and plates to protect against other carnivorous dinosaurs. However, their skin is so sensitive, they can even get sunburnt. That is why elephants often throw several layers of mud on themselves. This pleasant "cooling pack" also combats the scorching heat. While elephants cannot hear any better than other animals with their huge ears, they help them to cope with the African heat. Schleich Carcharodontosaurus Schleich model 15048 Product Dimensions: 33 x 17 cmAge: 3 years and up Released in NZ: March 2025  Carcharodontosaurus was one of the largest and most fearsome carnivorous dinosaurs, rivaling even the famous T. rex in size. Named after its sharp, serrated teeth, which resembled those of a great white shark, this predator was a formidable hunter.
